Education and Training

The main focus of the ACP training department is the various training programmes for civilian, police and militaryexperts who are working in crisis regions. Hundreds of professionals receive on-site and online basic and advanced training and coaching each year within the framework of IPT,ESDC, EUCTI, EUPCST, EUAV, the OSCE Summer Academy and other customized training courses. In addition, the ACP organizes the annual Summer Academy, which is open to a wide audience. The training includes in-mission training in various contexts.

Morevoer, the ACP together with the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) is implementing a training program in West Africa (HAWA) on enhancing capacities in national and regional institutions to respond to humanitarian crises in West Africa. In addition, in the course of our peace education programme, more than 1,500 pupils from primary to high school take part in the violence prevention programme Peace Weeks every year. Together with the Burgenland College of Education we run the university course "Global Peace Education" and organize various Peace Education events such as conferences and trainings for pedagogues and multipliers.
