How does the library work?

Unfortunately, the location of the Peace Library is not freely accessible at the moment, but the library is still open, and lending is possible. Books can be borrowed by anyone interested; you only have to be registered as a reader. To register, it is sufficient to show the library staff an identity card and to give a valid e-mail address.

Would you like to borrow a book? Then please research our online catalogue at http://www.peacelibrary.opac.at/search and place your order either at libr@aspr.ac.at or by telephone on 03355/2498 512. The books can be collected from "Haus International", Kirchenplatz 8, 7461 Stadtschlaining.

How long can books be borrowed?

Books can be borrowed for four weeks and extended twice for a fortnight if no other users have reserved the media.

How can I make a reservation?

Please send an e-mail with the desired book titles to libr(at)aspr.ac.at.

What can be borrowed?

The Peace Library contains books, magazines, CDs, DVDs and so-called "grey literature" dealing with topics of peace and conflict. Books, CDs and DVDs may be borrowed, magazines and other documents may be copied. All media can be researched in our online catalogue.

Is it possible to work with the materials in the library?

Unfortunately, there are no workstations available at the moment. A photocopier is available for copies. Copies cost 10 cent per sheet
