ESDC Course on Recovery and Stabilisation Strategies

Graduates of this course will be provided with a comprehensive understanding of various strategies for recovery and stabilisation, extract lessons from selected case studies and available tools and methods for improved approaches to address long-term support to peace processes and includes the following:

  • Analysis and critical review of approaches, policies, challenges, lessons learned and inspiration from applied best practice as well as discovery of out of the box solutions for recovery and stabilisation efforts
  • Learning through exchange of case studies addressing selected topics, interaction with fellow participants and senior experts as trainers
  • Reviewing skills regarding the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of major tasks in the process of recovery and stabilisation
  • Strategies for comprehensive collaboration and networking opportunities in the expert community for future professional exchange

Target group
For senior level civilian, military or police experts working directly with or in the context of peace support operations and complex emergencies

Requirements
At least ten years work experience in post-conflict recovery contexts
