INTERNATIONAL CIVILIAN PEACE KEEPING AND PEACE BUILDING TRAINING PROGRAM (IPT)

IPT is a practically-oriented training program for experts of various professional background who work (or intend to work) as civilians in conflict regions – be it for international organizations like the UN or OSCE, or for governmental or non-governmental organizations. Participants come from all continents, as do trainers who are experts in their field with their own working experience in crisis regions.

The thematic foci in core courses are intercultural communication, conflict analysis, the role of states, international and nongovernmental actors in crisis situations as well as workshops on conflict transformation and project management. Every core course is followed by a specialization course. Specialization courses deal with topics such as Conflict Transformation, Media Development, Child Protection, Project Management, Humanitarian Assistance, Human Rights Protection etc.
